AZHIANEH

Publications and research

Architecture begins with understanding people and place before it becomes a building. Two books co-authored by Hassan Taheri and Shokoufeh Zaheri, one on the social life of the Iranian bazaar and one on rural tourism, are part of that path.

One studies the city and community, the other nature and the tourism destination. Both share an attention to human experience and the cultural and environmental context of architecture.

From research to project

These books are part of the authors' intellectual background. Their relation to Azhianeh projects is a continuation of shared concerns, not a claim that projects were designed directly from the books.
