Azhianeh perspectives

Architecture, development and everyday life through the practice’s approach.

From architecture to project development

Azhianeh considers architecture and structural engineering together. Construction experience connects materials and details with delivered quality. Land assessment, product definition and operational planning extend that approach to project development.

Architecture mediates between the client’s aims and the possibilities of a site. When the spatial programme is aligned with resources and future use, decisions about form gain a clearer basis. Architectural design, feasibility and construction management are chapters of one conversation: experience in each phase sharpens the questions asked in the others. The resulting continuity can be read in spatial proportions, construction methods and maintainability.

Hotels: guest experience and service planning

A hotel is more than rooms and a lobby. Guest arrival, staff routes, kitchens, storage and service spaces need to work together. The practice considers service planning before fixing the architectural form.

Guest ease begins with small decisions: the distance between a room and circulation, a legible arrival route, a waiting place and the relationship between seating and a view. Service planning supports that experience. Hotel and retreat design becomes coherent when visible spaces and support functions work together, allowing hospitality to continue over time and through changing seasons.

Life after handover

Residential quality extends beyond the apartment. Shared-space maintenance, access to services, play and outdoor space shape everyday life. The Life Design approach brings these needs into the brief; operating services must be defined separately for each project.

Designing for life considers the lifespan of a building. Maintenance access, materials suited to the setting and adaptable room use matter from the first stages of design. In a residential complex, the route from entrance to home and the quality of shared spaces also contribute. The question is how, after construction ends, a building becomes a dependable part of its occupants’ lives.
